Born in Brasov in 17 of Juin 1857. he graduates in Brasov his first studies then he continues his technical studies in Vienna. He gives up his political studies and he begins musical studies at the Leiptiz Conservatory. In September 1888 he marries Otilia Densusianu. They will have 8 children. Most time of his life he will be teacher in Blaj. He is initiateur of several artistical formations and he travels in tours around the country. He is the publisher of The Romanian muse where he puts forward the Romanian folklore.
Among his creation we remember:
Stefan the Great, The Arges Monostery, Constantin Brancoveanu and so on.
He was a great teacher. He formed brilliant students as Tiberiu Brediceanu and Nicodim Ganea. He obtained the Mendelssohn Bartholdy Price of the Leibniz Conservatory.
